So I'm out at St. Louis Bread company having a nice relaxing Saturday lunch by myself when all of a sudden a couple comes in and sits at the table across from me.
At first they seem like just your typical happy pair grabbing a bite to eat after working out or on their way home from something but then something happens that sets them apart from most people I observe.
The guy, who was sitting on the other side of the table to begin the meal, stands up and slides his chair to the position shown in the photo above. He is now sitting on the corner of the table and their food, legs, and bodies are just that much nearer.
So my question is: Is this cute or obnoxious?
I'm going to go with obnoxious and here's why:
You are out eating lunch. It's ok to be in love and I'm happy they are but this guy does not need to partially block the aisle just to be that much closer to his girl while they're chowing down. It's one thing to cuddle at home during a movie, I'm all for that, but lunch out at Bread Co?
There's just no need.
You can spend 20 minutes across the table from your gal as you both finish your meals.
You tell me. Am I just overreacting or does this not annoy anyone but me?

I can't really say if I agree with your opinion of obnoxious or not, as I did not observe this particular incident, so I don't know if it would have disturbed my comfort level or not...
that being said, I DESPISE PDA's. So for the REASONS you stated it bugged you, I have to agree with you.
WOW! That looks really uncomfortable for the girl! I so would want my space!
I have to agree -- I would be so annoyed if I saw that. And I'm not speaking from a bitter I'm-so-single-and-hate-every-happy-couple-in-the-world standpoint. I just think it's silly to act this way out in public. It's like they're saying "look at us, we're sooo in love!" Plz, take that nonsense home..
